Freedom to Be – Look book installation

The adrift hotels

Adrift Hotels is a growing chain of boutique hotels, restaurants and distilleries along the Washington and Oregon coast. The company is owned and operated by a clear-eyed married couple with lots of vision and incredible business and marketing strategy. As the company began to grow and as the owners installed new leaders and grew the team, it’s wasn’t enough for the brand’s vision, promise, and story to live in the owners’ minds. In partnership with Adrift and the brand strategist our team was able to formally uncover and articulate the company’s brand identity and to develop a brand voice and vocabulary. I worked with our brand strategist and led our design team to develop outward facing expressions – new photography, look books, amenity guides and in room displays. For Adrift’s internal teams we developed a new brand architecture and in-depth brand guidelines along with a brand promise – The Freedom to Be.

IN ROOM LOOK BOOK

Designed to become a part the room – the book captures the unmistakable experience of visiting an Adrift property. A key part of an in-room system, the book hangs from a discovery board designed to connect guess to Adrift's vision and values.

AMENITIES BOARD DESIGN

The concept for Adrift's in room look book included working with Adrift to plan and build out wall installation to house the book, menu, live music information and other resources. The idea was to make the look book a part of the in room experience across all Adrift properties.
